Latest News: Empowering Futures: Lead the Way Connects with Students at Career & Opportunity Fair

Updated: Feb 16

Lead the Way Learning Academy was excited to participate in Thursday morning’s Career & Opportunity Fair, held at Independence High School, joining nearly 80 businesses, colleges, and community organizations in supporting student success. The event provided a powerful platform for Lead the Way to share the pathways, programs, and opportunities we offer—while connecting directly with students exploring their future career options.

Throughout the fair, we engaged with more than 650 students as the entire student body rotated through the gym in three sessions. Students in grades 9–12 visited booths, asked questions, and explored careers that align with their interests and goals.

Community partners, including Lead the Way, participated in the event and the energy in the room skyrocketed once the fair kicked off.

Interactive activities were a huge hit—as always. Hands‑on demonstrations, challenges, giveaways, equipment displays, and technology stations helped bring career pathways to life and encouraged students to fully engage with exhibitors. Our students loved having the chance to participate, ask questions, and immerse themselves in real‑world experiences.

Lead the Way was proud to contribute to an event that opened doors, built meaningful connections, and supported students in envisioning their future pathways.
