On Friday, September 19, 2025, Lead The Way proudly partnered with Felice Thomas and the Faith Thomas Foundation to host a powerful event in our Knowledge is Power: Let’s Talk About It Educational Series. The session took place at the Shine Bright Whitehall Community Center, with special thanks to Discover for generously allowing us to utilize the space.

This event focused on raising awareness about Sickle Cell Disease, vaping, and mental health, while empowering students to become advocates for their health and their communities.

Student Panel: Voices That Matter

One of the most inspiring moments came from our student panel, where young leaders boldly shared why their voices matter and how they plan to take this knowledge back to their friends, families, and communities.

Thank You to Our Supporters

This impactful event was made possible thanks to the generous support of our funder, Franklin County Jobs and Family Services, and the Board of Commissioners. Their investment allows us to continue creating meaningful opportunities for students, especially during Sickle Cell Awareness Month.

Together, we are making a difference. Knowledge is power—and when we talk about it, we create change.
