Latest News: AMP Students Explore the Atlanta Experience ✈️🎓🏈

September 26-28, 2025

From September 26–28, 2025, in partnership with The Student Stakeholder LLC, 19 AMP students had the incredible opportunity to attend the Atlanta Experience, a weekend full of exposure, service, and inspiration.

Students explored some of Atlanta’s most iconic sites, including:

• Ponce City Market

• Mercedes-Benz Stadium

• Campus tours at Georgia Tech, Clark Atlanta, Morehouse College, and Spelman College

• The Atlanta Falcons game vs. Washington Commanders

In addition to these cultural and educational experiences, students also gave back to the community. At the Atlanta Community Food Bank, they helped provide 10,862 pounds of food, equaling 9,051 meals for neighbors in need.

This experience was more than just a trip; it was a transformative opportunity. For the students we serve, many whom come from TANF-eligible families, exposure to colleges and universities they can now see, touch, and feel makes higher education more tangible and attainable. By walking through campuses, engaging with history, and connecting service to leadership, our students are building the confidence and vision they need to prepare for future success.
