🌟 Latest News: 2nd Annual HBCU College Tour 🌟

June 23-25, 2025

In partnership and collaboration with Winston-Scott Enterprise LLC, Lead The Way Learning Academy proudly hosted our 2nd Annual HBCU College Tour from June 23–25, 2025.

This year, 20 AMP youth had the incredible opportunity to visit 8 historic HBCU campuses, where they participated in campus tours and engaged with a custom college workbook to reflect on their experiences and future aspirations.

The campuses visited included:

• Howard University

• North Carolina A&T University

• Morgan State University

• Norfolk State University

• Winston-Salem State University

• Elizabeth City State University

• Bennett College

• West Virginia State University

This tour was so much more than just traveling to colleges, it was about exposure and experience. Many of our students come from TANF-eligible families, and opportunities like this open their eyes to new possibilities. By stepping foot on these campuses, meeting faculty and students, and engaging with college life, they can now see, touch, and feel what’s possible, transforming dreams of higher education into achievable goals.
