Lead The Way recently welcomed families for Coffee & Conversations, a meaningful family engagement event designed to strengthen communication, build trust, and reinforce partnership in support of student success.

Held on March 28, 2026, the gathering created a warm and welcoming space for families to connect directly with Lead the Way staff. With our families in attendance, the event provided an opportunity for open dialogue about how the organization supports students and their families.

During Coffee & Conversations, Lead the Way staff shared an overview of current programs, available resources, upcoming events, and the ways these supports contribute to student outcomes. Just as importantly, families were invited to share feedback, voice barriers they may be experiencing, and offer insight into additional ways Lead the Way can better support their youth. This exchange reinforced the organization’s commitment to listening, transparency, and continuous improvement.

The event was enhanced by the generosity of community partners. Resch’s Bakery provided fresh donuts, while Tim Hortons supplied hot coffee for guests to enjoy during conversations—helping to create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere that encouraged connection and discussion.

Following the event, families were invited to complete a feedback survey, and responses highlighted the impact of the gathering:

Families identified several components as especially valuable, including the CEO Address, Programs & Partnerships, Compliance & Expectations, Guest Speakers, and Breakout Parent Conversations. Lead The Way extends sincere thanks to all families who attended Coffee & Conversations. Their engagement, honesty, and partnership are essential to strengthening the support systems that help students thrive. The organization also thanks Resch’s Bakery and Tim Hortons for their generosity and partnership in making the event a success.
