On November 5, Lead the Way was proud to participate in the Independence High School Career Fair, a day dedicated to helping students explore workforce pathways and gain insight into the skills and opportunities available to them after graduation. The event brought together students, educators, and community partners, all focused on one shared goal: empowering young people to step confidently toward their futures.
Throughout the fair, the Lead the Way team had meaningful conversations with students about their interests, career goals, and the many resources available to help them prepare for life after high school. Whether students were curious about workforce development, professional readiness, or mentorship opportunities, Lead the Way provided guidance, encouragement, and practical next steps.

In addition to sharing information, the team also handed out t‑shirts and computer bags, giving students both a morale boost and tools they can use as they continue their academic and career journeys. The excitement and engagement from students made the event both lively and impactful.
We’re grateful to have been part of this collaborative effort, and we want to extend a big shout‑out to our fellow Career Fair partners — Think Make Live Youth, ESC of Central Ohio, NCUS TEC, and Godman Guild. Together, we’re creating environments where students feel supported, informed, and confident about their next steps.
As always, Lead the Way remains committed to uplifting youth across Central Ohio by offering meaningful experiences that connect learning, leadership, and career exploration. We look forward to continuing this important work with our partners and schools throughout the region.
