On October 20th, Early College Academy welcomed Columbus State Community College to their school to talk to youth during an info session about their academic programs. Youth engaged with the speaker about Columbus's shifting population demographics and the increasing demand for skilled trades (automotive, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and prospective pay rates. The event was attended by fifteen students. As Lead The Way moves forward with engagement at ECA, there will be more efforts to help students understand the important of post-secondary education.
