Lead The Way Celebrates Hope and Community at the 13th Annual Red Diamond Gala
Lead The Way was honored to attend the Faith Thomas Foundation’s 13th Annual Red Diamond Gala on September 11 at The Boat House in downtown Columbus. Centered around the theme “Sickle Celebration of Hope,” the evening brought together community leaders, advocates, families, and supporters to raise awareness of sickle cell disease and celebrate those whose lives have been impacted by it.
Lead The Way’s CEO, Anthony Murphy, served as the evening’s master of ceremonies. His leadership, warmth, and energy helped guide guests through an inspiring program filled with stories of hope and perseverance, special guest speakers, community recognition, awards, and opportunities to support the Faith Thomas Foundation’s mission.
Lead The Way's Director of Programming Frederick Lee Jr. along with two other recipients received the partnership award during the event.
Beyond the celebration, the evening provided an important opportunity for attendees to learn more about advancements in sickle cell treatment and care while supporting programs that improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
Founded by individuals personally impacted by sickle cell disease, the Faith Thomas Foundation works to raise awareness, advocate for equitable and compassionate care, and assist patients and caregivers as young people transition from pediatric to adult healthcare. Its commitment to education, advocacy, and community support closely aligns with Lead The Way’s dedication to helping young people and families overcome barriers and build healthier, more promising futures.
