This week, Lead the Way (LTW) was honored to be featured in a community‑focused conversation, led by LTW partner, Think Make Live Youth, centered on opportunity, growth, and youth empowerment. In the interview, Frederick Lee, LTW Director of Partnerships & Development, shared thoughtful insight on how organizations across Columbus can work together to expand access and create meaningful pathways for young people.
During the conversation, Frederick highlighted the wide range of summer opportunities available through Lead the Way, emphasizing how each program is designed to help students build confidence, skills, and real‑world experience. He spoke in depth about the Work Experience (WEX) program, noting how it offers paid, hands‑on learning that allows young people to explore career interests while developing essential workplace skills. Frederick also underscored the importance of enrolling early, reminding families that these summer initiatives not only create meaningful experiences now but also connect students to long‑term mentorship and year‑round support.
Lead The Way encourages families and students who want to participate in these summer programs to act soon—there is still time to enroll and qualify for upcoming opportunities. Enrollment not only grants students access to summer programming but also connects them to year‑round guidance, mentorship, and leadership development.
We invite the community to watch the full conversation and hear Frederick’s message firsthand:
