September 2, 2025, Columbus, OH – Lead The Way Learning Academy is proud to announce its inaugural Founder’s Day, taking place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, as a special tribute to the visionary leadership of Jackie Kemp, the organization’s founder and first Executive Director.

Founder’s Day is designed to recognize and celebrate the legacy of Ms. Kemp, who began her transformative work in 2004 and officially restructured Lead The Way as a nonprofit in 2014. Her unwavering commitment to youth development, educational equity, and workforce readiness continues to inspire the organization and the countless lives it touches.

“Jackie’s mission was never just about programming—it was about purpose,” said Anthony Murphy, CEO of Lead The Way. “Founder’s Day gives us the opportunity to reflect on that purpose and honor the foundation she laid and continues to lay, and inspires us to build on.”

Day Outline & Tribute

🕙 Paid Community Service (8 Hours)

• All LTW staff are encouraged and paid to complete eight hours of service at a local nonprofit, charity, or school of their choice.

• The initiative aligns with Ms. Kemp’s vision of service beyond self, encouraging team members to give back to the community.

• Staff are welcome to serve with an approved organization that aligns with their values.

Founder’s Day will become an annual tradition at Lead The Way, honoring the legacy of servant leadership and community empowerment that Jackie Kemp established and continues to embody within the broader community.
