Lead The Way was proud to join the Greater Columbus Arts Council’s Creative Columbus Celebration to celebrate our partner Stephanie Matthews, Executive Director of A Tribe for Jazz, and her organization’s recognition with the 2026 Columbus Makes Art Excellence Award.
Held October 27 at Columbus College of Art & Design’s Canzani Center, the celebration recognized the creativity and collaboration strengthening Columbus’ arts community. A Tribe for Jazz received the award for Jazz Lab Summer Columbus, a program connecting young people with hands-on experiences in music, art, science, and technology. Lead The Way was among the program’s youth partners.
At Lead The Way, we value partnerships that give young people opportunities to explore their interests, build confidence, and discover new possibilities for their futures. Celebrating alongside Stephanie was an opportunity to recognize the leadership and imagination she brings to this shared work.
Congratulations to Stephanie and the entire A Tribe for Jazz team on this well-deserved honor! We are grateful for your partnership and your commitment to creating opportunities for young people through the arts.
